Invitation to Easter

This year, our Lenten journey invited us into something beautifully counter-cultural: the practice of humble witness. We have spent these past 40 days exploring what it means to offer a "Humble Exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the World"—learning that God's Kingdom work often flourishes in unexpected places and through extraordinary community partners.

Now, as we arrive at Easter Sunday, we prepare to witness the ultimate exhibition of God's Kingdom: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The journey that taught us to look for God's work in the world now calls us together to celebrate the empty tomb.

We invite you to join us this Easter Sunday as we celebrate the risen Christ. We will have two distinct worship opportunities, as well as a time for joyful fellowship:

  • 7:00 am – Sunrise Service: Gather with us in the Memorial Garden as we welcome the morning light and celebrate the resurrection in a beautiful, intimate setting.

  • 10:30 am – Easter Fellowship: Join us on the front plaza for donuts, coffee, and joyful community connection before our late morning service.

  • 11:00 am – Traditional Easter Worship: Gather in the Sanctuary for a glorious celebration of the resurrection, featuring brass instrumentation and the Hallelujah chorus.

This Easter invites us to see God's Kingdom breaking forth in the most unexpected place – an empty tomb. And it calls us to participate in the joy of new life, not just observe it. I hope you will join me in this celebration.

In Christ,

Jamie
