Covenant Presbyterian Church is celebrating a major milestone in its history: its 100th anniversary. The church, which has been a cornerstone of the community since its arrival on Peachtree and Terrace, kicked off our celebrations on November 8-9 with a special weekend of events.
A Rich History of Service and Community
Covenant Presbyterian Church has a long and storied history that dates back to its roots in the late 1800s. From its early days as a small congregation meeting in the Good Templars Hall to its current status as a thriving, neighborhood church on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, CPC has remained committed to its mission of serving Christ and the community.
2026 Events
The 100th anniversary celebrations will continue in 2026 with special events. These include:
An Organ Recital with Dr. John Coble, Sunday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m.
A Lunch and Learn with Ethel Ware Carter on “The Ministers’ Manifesto,” Sunday, February 1 at 12:15 p.m. RSVP to office@covpresatl.org
A community picnic on May 3 at 12:15 p.m.
These events promise to be a wonderful way to continue the anniversary celebrations, bringing together the congregation and the wider community to reflect on the church's history and look to the future.
A Year-Long Celebration
Throughout the coming months, CPC will continue to mark this significant milestone with various events and activities that will highlight the church's rich history, its commitment to service, and its vision for the future.
As Covenant Presbyterian Church celebrates its 100th anniversary, it does so with gratitude for its past, joy in its present, and hope in God’s shaping of our future. The church invites all members and friends to join in the celebrations!
